In June 2024, Corvus secured the Hanwha contract to manufacture nearly 2000 suspension units for the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs). Hanwha Defence Australia is a part of the key Defence program, LAND 400 Phase 3 Program to deliver 129 ‘Redback’ IFVs for the Australian Army’s largest ever acquisition program. The partnership makes Corvus one of the top suppliers to Hanwha Defence Australia in the manufacture of this vital new platform for Army.
Corvus is manufacturing vehicle suspension units for the Australian Army’s new Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).
The ISUs, 14 of which are on each Redback vehicle, improve ride, comfort, and manoeuvrability in the field. This provides better under vehicle blast resistance and vehicle survivability than other designs.

This project opens a channel for the transfer of defence technology from South Korea to Australia through secure defence technology transfer. Corvus’ combined expertise in engineering, mechatronic defence system development and foreign relations is leveraged to facilitate the transfer of proven technology from overseas to be manufactured locally.
